Who We Are

Joan Grant

Joan Grant graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Government and earned her J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Stone Scholar. For over 25 years, Joan has been involved with Cornell Admissions, meeting with prospective students, volunteering at college fairs, and assisting at events for accepted students. She is currently a member of the President's Council of Cornell Women and formerly Vice Chair of its Mentoring Committee. Joan is also active with Alumni and Development at Columbia University School of Law. As a successful attorney Joan was trained to thoroughly research and assess each situation and to put forth the best possible presentation of the facts, using sound judgment and out-of-the-box thinking, while operating within established parameters. More recently Joan has used these and other skills to counsel medical and law school candidates through the admissions process and help them to optimize their chances for success.
